Austenitic stainless steels are known for their ductility because of their high strength and work hardening rate. As a result, these stainless-steel grades can be cold-formed into deep-drawn products in large quantities. Other cold-formed products made from different grades of stainless steel without splitting are also produced during the stainless-steel manufacturing process.
