HISTORY
Dan Themig, Ken Paltzat and Peter Krabben spent their careers working for large service companies before teaming up to start Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. - a dynamic organization with a niche focus on innovative completion solutions. In January 2000, the three co-founders opened the first Packers Plus office in Calgary along with a 6,000 square foot manufacturing center in Edmonton, Alberta.
Packers Plus quickly established itself as a high-performing company and was given an opportunity to present a solution to help an American operator increase production in horizontal wells. It was during this meeting that the game-changing StackFRAC® open hole, multi-stage completion system was born. The StackFRAC system earned its big break at the end of 2006 when it proved to be the key to developing the Bakken formation in Saskatchewan. This innovative technology has completely transformed the oil and gas industry.
