Global Direct Television LLC (GDTV) was incorporated in the United Arab Emirates in 1996 as a major pay TV channel distributor for Showtime (Gulf DTH Ldc) and Orbit. GDTV, initially was under ZAKSAT from Kuwait and in the year 1999 was transferred under KIPCO, Kuwaits largest investment companies listed in Kuwait Stock Exchange. Later, GDTV engaged in a business tie up with ADD (Arab Digital Distribution Co.) and started distributing its pay TV channel such as AL-Awael, Star Select, Firstnet and Pehla. Today Global Direct Television L.L.C. with its offices in UAE has its business spread all across the Emirates.
